  • Sir Edmund Hilary
  • Neil Armstrong
  • Christopher Columbus

All great men.  Great explorers. Men who pushed themselves to the limit to discover new horizons.

One Of The World’s Great Explorers

Well, we have a name to add to the list!

Yep, Big Burly Bryan Sinclair, the Big Chief here at Sinclairs Fitness, has finished cycling the length of New Zealand.
(Bet you Neil Armstrong has never done that!)

That’s from the tip of the North Island to the bottom of the South Island.

  • Sure, he did it harder than his soft brother Brendon who recently rode around the South Island on his motorbike, but you’d never hear Bryan brag about that.
  • Sure, he’s obviously tougher than all of his brothers.
  • And yes, he’s the best looking of the brothers.

A Word From Her Majesty

But as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth said “Bryan, it is a tragedy that you Aussies don’t let me knight people anymore because you’d be kneeling in front of me right know getting the Empire’s highest honour.  You’re not only a beacon of hope to your fat and lazy brothers, but you’re also an inspiration to people all over the world.”

Congratulations Bryan – now get back to work!

Big Burly Bryan Reaches South Island

by admin on April 29, 2010

Sinclairs Fitness’ “Hero to us All” (again, he makes us call him that) has reached the South Island of New Zealand on his quest to cycle the length of New Zealand.

Lake Tekapo on the South IslandBryan has cycled from the top of the North Island to the bottom of that island and caught the ferry to Picton at the top of the South Island.

Just How Can He Do It??

Bryan tells us that despite driving rain, a sore butt and aching legs he’ll be able to whiz through the South Island in a couple of weeks because, as he said:

“I can do this because I trained on the fantastic equipment from Sinclairs Fitness.

The staff there are incredibly knowledgeable, very attractive and highly amusing.  I’m not saying this because I own the business – everyone says it.  Even Barack Obama said it when he was in the shop the other day!

Probably the best looking of the team is Adam.  Wow!  What a man!”

(This quote may or may not have been completely made up.)

Only Another 1,500 kms To Go!

Keep pedaling Bryan – because you know if you don’t your idiot brothers will jump on the first plane to New Zealand and do the entire ride themselves and then say they’re better/stronger/tougher than you!

Cheers

Intrepid Leader Better Than His Brothers

by admin on March 25, 2010

Look, we’re not saying Bryan Sinclair, the owner here, is better than his brothers.

We don’t need to because it’s pretty obvious.

Want proof?  Okay: in January Bryan’s brother Brendon tackled the grueling South Coast Track – a great wilderness walk of 84 km in 7 days.

Big Burly Bryan did the walk a couple of weeks ago and it was a simple stroll in the park for him.

Then Came New Zealand

Last week brother Brendon returned from a motorbike trip around the South Island of New Zealand.  He rode a big V Strom 650.

Soft Brendon needed a motor to help him get around New Zealand!

Soft Brendon needed a motor to help him get around New Zealand!

So Big Burly Bryan has been thinking “What will be tougher than than?   What will make me better than him??!”

So yes, in a couple of weeks Bryan is heading to New Zealand to, get this, cycle from the top of the North Island to the bottom of the South Island – that’s close on 2,000 kms over some of the most mountainous terrain in the world.

And by cycle, we mean a pushbike.  Not the soft option of a motorbike his brother took!

“I Wish I Was More Like Bryan…”

As his older looking, but surprisingly younger brother Brendon said,

“Wow!  That will be an incredible feat of strength, endurance and amazing courage.  You’ll be, without doubt, the toughest of all 5 brothers if you manage to complete this bold and daring challenge. What a man you are!  I wish I was more like Bryan!

(That quote may, or may not, have been completely made up.)

Talk The Talk, Walk The Walk

There are 3 important points from all that:

1.  Bryan is tougher than his brothers

2.  If you get an opportunity to slag off your brothers, then go for it!

3.  Here at Sinclairs Fitness we talk the talk and walk the walk.

You see, all of the staff are involved in fitness.  We live and breath it every single day.

We have the experience, the expertise and the enthusiasm to help you get fit.

We use the very same equipment we recommend to help us all achieve our very best – whether it’s losing a couple of kilos or doing a crazy bicycle trip through rugged countryside.

Good luck Big Burly Bryan!

Cheers

South Coast Track Walk To Test BBB

by admin on March 2, 2010

Here at Sinclairs the main guy is Big Burly Bryan Sinclair – at least that’s what he makes us call him.

Bryan is off to walk the South Coast Track in a couple of weeks and the tough 84 km wilderness trek will test him out.

After his recent 50th birthday he must have thought he needed to prove himself!

Some sections of the South Coast Track are wet!
